ABOUT ABBEY

Abbey Rhoderick is an aspiring documentary filmmaker based in Orange, California.           

Abbey grew up in Missoula, Montana, where she graduated high school with a degree in the International Baccalaureate Program.  During a fellowship her junior year, she worked with the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, creating her own short documentary. It was during this experience that she realized her passion for documentary filmmaking, and decided to pursue it. 

She is currently working to complete a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Documentary at Chapman University. She is additionally an English minor with an interest in creative writing. 

As an avid rock climber and nature enthusiast, Abbey hopes to create documentaries centered around the human experience in the outdoors, as well as films about adventure sports. She hopes to spend her career as a documentarian traveling, actively learning about other cultures and communities, and writing.
